| The flagship course of Nitzan is the Didactic Evaluation course. This course began two decades ago and since then it has trained generations of teachers and professionals to work in the field of didactic evaluation.
Over the years, with the development of the field, theoretical topics that once were not learned have been added, with the purpose of providing those learning the field with methodical, up-to-date knowledge based on the modern, developing research. Similarly, an emphasis is placed on the interplay between the applied aspect of the evaluation (gathering data, evaluation process, choice of tools and their analysis) and between the theoretical knowledge that guides the data analysis in order to determine the evaluation conclusions and guidance toward treatment.
In the courses that deal with evaluation, accepted and revised tools are learned, including firstly the Aleph-Taf exams that were developed at Nitzan by top-level experts in the field of Didactic Evaluation (Dr. Michal Shani, Dorit Lachman, Tzilah Shalem, Amira Bahat, and Tal Zeiger) and which are adapted for reading assessment in the Hebrew language.
In light of the positive feedback and the necessity that came up to strengthen the specialization in the field of didactic evaluation, we will continue also this second year to offer training groups for experienced didactic evaluators, who are interested to discuss together complicated cases with up-to-date literature.
