1.      Assessments

 

B.O.T. Director of Assessments - Mrs. Yael Barkai, Occupational Therapist and Certified Didactic Assessor - Trainer

2.      Remedial Instruction

Director - Mrs. Ruth Shenhav, M.A. Learning Disabilities

 

  • Individual Remedial Instruction - for all ages in all areas - Reading, Math, English, Strategies, etc.
  • Courses and Workshops - learning groups in math for middle school students
  • Course Preparation for History Bagrut Exams - 1 and 2 units
  • Course Preparation for Language Bagrut Exams (for both regular and customized exams)
  • Course Preparation for Math Bagrut Exams - 3 units
  • Course Preparation for English Bagrut Exams - 4 and 5 units
  • Workshop for improving accuracy in reading together with computers -  3rd-6th grades.
  • Workshop for increasing command of basic math skills - 3rd-6th grades
  • Groups for improving reading skills with the use of a computer program. The workshops include an evaluation by an expert in reading, fitting of appropriate texts, practice with a special computer program.
  • Learning groups in the area of strategies and skills for middle school students in the areas of: pre-reading activities, browse reading, differentiating between topics and the main idea, developing questions and writing answers, types of text, creative writing, summary skills, etc...
  • Courses for children in 2nd-6th grades to improve pace and accuracy of reading through use of a special computer program.

 

3.      Treatment and Counseling Services

  • Individual parent training for parents of children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD with Mrs. Shoshi Blass, M.A. Educational Counseling, Family Counselor, ADHD specialist.
  • Support groups for parents "Strengths and Tools", "The Journey from Support to Advocacy".
  • Movement Therapy
  • Support Center for Released Soldiers-before psychometric exams and continued studies in institutions for higher education, free of charge.
