The first visit to Vilnius – presenting the E.C.C. method in Lithuania
The first seminar presenting the E.C.C method in Lithuania took place on October 26-30, 2015.
The seminar was cooperation between Nitzan and the ministry of education and science in Lithuania. This cooperation was initiated by Israel’s ambassador to Lithuania, Mr. Amir Maimon, in order to present to the local professionals new ideas and insights regarding the daily straggle with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder in the different educational systems.
We were welcomed by Dr. Natalja Istomina, deputy minister of education and science, and Mr. Amir Maimon, the Israeli ambassador to Lithuania.
We held workshops for educators, educational counselors and parents’ organizations.
This was the first time that a workshop for parents was hosted by the ministry of education and science. The participants were representatives of parents’ organizations’ in Lithuania. It was fascinating to see how methods that were developed by Nitzan gain so much appreciation and respect in other countries. We return home filled with pride.
Dr. Maly Danino, Nitzan’s CEO lectured on the integration of students with learning disabilities in main stream education and on the Parent Coaching method that was developed in Nitzan. The lectures were followed by workshops. We met with Policy makers and opinion leaders in the ministry of education and science.
