Like a Flower in My Garden

I'm the mother of a child at Nitzan,

For me he's just like a flower in the gan (garden).

He came here withered and worn out from the foul weathered world,

And today he's beautifully put together like a string of pearls.

All the words that go out of his lips and mouth,

Make me and everyone happy and proud.

My son is dyslexic, he has trouble reading,

At Nitzan, he experiences learning with meaning.

I've visited similar places, centers, and clinics,

But the disappointing outcomes left our work unfinished.

Here an assessment of the problems, here the treatment's not steady,

"Just wait another week until we'll be ready".

Every time they pushed it off, said this is something temporary.

I worried very seriously, how much more can this tarry.

Until in the end with the encouragement of Nitzan,

We started to work with ups and downs like the sun.

Slowly, slowly with the steps of a turtle,

They treated, improved, and we passed one more hurdle.

Today the boy is on the right track,

Our story's not fiction, success is a fact.

I thank all those responsible that didn't give up

Despite the difficulties and challenges, we didn't stop.

Be strong and courageous for all the children

That with Nitzan's help we've started rebuilding.

And afterwards the hope that they'll go out to regular schools

Because they've taken the right steps and gained valuable tools.
